Ahoy Matey! Batten down the hatches!

I had such a blast doing the Pirates of the Caribbean envelope, that I opted to do another pirate theme! This time, Peg Leg I Sing and Captain No Eye Bettie are taking over the seven seas with their great ship, the DeeDee. Oh, and a few cannonballs. 

Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of ...cupcakes?

This is one of my most epic creations. I want to make another one similar to this because I had a blast drawing the scrolls that have the writing on them. The thing is, it's starting to get super busy in the shops now, so I don't have time to get as detailed! And, as much as the blue pen looks fab, I'm leaning more towards pencils now - they are easier to blend. I wish I had taken the time to make the ship look s a bit more realistic, though. 

Does anyone know any other movies where ships are featured prominently in a pirate-type setting? Besides Waterworld? Because Kevin Costner does not make a good cupcake persona...

Especially when he has gills behind his ears.
